Under the influence of globalization and the digital era, the inheritance and development of Taijiquan culture face new environments, needs, and challenges, especially the main contents of promotion objectives and tools, and specific ways of international promotion of Taijiquan culture, which are influenced by the promotion environment and social groups. This study aimed to (a) examine the current situation and difficulties of international promotion of Taijiquan culture, and (b) develop a Taijiquan English instructor manual (TEIM) for international promotion. The literature compilation reveals that there are deviations and gaps in the international promotion of Taijiquan culture both in terms of promotion themes and promotion strategies, and clear the urgent need for TEIM for the international promotion of Taijiquan. This leads to the need for this study to be more profound and practical in the research part of TEIM. This study used an exploratory mixed research approach, combining theory and practice, to develop and evaluate an English Taijiquan instructor's manual at three levels. Specific applications of literature, interviews, focus group interviews, observations, and questionnaires were used to get three results: 1. the content and concepts of Taijiquan culture were sorted out, and the content subject and promotion objectives of international promotion of Taijiquan culture were argued. 2. a cognitive model of international promotion of Taijiquan culture was constructed, clarifying the relationship between promotion methods with promotion tools, and arguing the necessity and importance of TEIM for the international promotion of Taijiquan culture. 3. TEIM was created according to the requirements for the international promotion of Taijiquan culture and the cultural carrying capacity, applicability, and effectiveness of TEIM were evaluated. The results of this study provide an important lead and reference for disciplinary research and development models of Taijiquan culture
