Description:
This study aims to find out the teaching methods of kindergarten teachers in Hong Kong to teach Chinese culture and the teaching strategies they adopt in kindergarten to understand how the current kindergartens inherit Chinese culture. In response to children's learning needs, kindergarten teachers compile and select appropriate teaching content and materials. Through effective teaching strategies, teachers can help children gain a preliminary understanding of the country and Chinese culture and cultivate children's positive values and attitudes. This study conducted interviews and analyses often in-service kindergarten teachers to gain real-world information. In this study, ten interviewees demonstrated methods of teaching Chinese culture, and the data showed that effective teaching strategies facilitate kindergarten teachers to teach Chinese cultural knowledge. In addition to teaching strategies, teaching content and activities are very important to the teaching of Chinese culture. Although these teachers have different teaching backgrounds and years of experience, they have the same orientation in promoting Chinese culture and nurturing children at school
